This wall-mounted, wooden perpetual calendar can be used again and again as a way to tick off the days, and months of the year. With cute illustrations depicting each month, this calendar would make a great educational tool to teach children the pattern of the days, dates and months that make up a year.
Materials used:
1/8" / 3mm birch-faced poplar plywood for the discs and holder
1/4" / 6mm poplar plywood for the spacers (thinner material would work, just ensure it's at least 1/16" thicker than the wood used for the discs so they can move freely)
You will need:
Your cut out calendar pieces
Wood glue
Heavy weight or clamp

Notes:
The calendar discs are made up of scored and engraved elements. Please refer to the image below to ensure your laser is set up correctly:

Different Materials
Different materials can be used to achieve different results. Here is one I made with oak veneered plywood for the discs and a walnut-veneered plywood for the holder:

The calendar above shows a non-personalised, UK version of the calendar, depicting Bonfire Night for November instead of Thanksgiving. If you'd like the UK version of the calendar discs you can download the file below:
