# Over the Door Corner Sign

Create a corner sign that sits over the top edge of a door, shelf, frame, or similar opening.

The template can be used for quick emoji based designs or more detailed custom artwork. You can also choose between layered and single layer construction, making it useful for both laser cutting and 3D printing.

## Add Artwork

The template includes two optional artwork areas plus a text section.

For each artwork area, choose between:

**Emoji**  
A quick way to build a sign without preparing your own artwork.

**SVG**  
Use your own SVG for more detailed or custom designs.

_A 3D-printed version may be somewhat more forgiving, as it is typically viewed from a distance._

## Layered or Single Layer

Turn on Backer to create an offset shape behind an artwork element. This works well for layered laser cut signs and multicolor 3D prints.

Adjust Backer Offset to control how far the backing extends around the artwork.

Turn Backer off when you want the artwork to remain a single layer.

## Making the Sign

For laser cutting, use the separate shapes as stacked layers or simplify the design for a single layer cut.

For 3D printing, the layered design can be used to create raised artwork and contrasting colors. Single layer designs can also be exported for simpler prints.

Before making the final sign, check the overall dimensions and confirm that the corner will fit the door, shelf, frame, or opening where it will be displayed.
