This **Stepped Display** is a flexible laser cut shelving system designed to showcase small items in an organized and visually clean way. Unlike fixed slot displays, this design uses movable dividers so you can change the layout whenever your product mix changes. One display can handle many arrangements, which saves material, time, and file management. It is ideal for makers, vendors, and retail setups that need a compact presentation solution that adapts on demand.

### Key Features

- Adjustable layout using removable dividers

- Stepped tiers for better visibility

- Compact footprint with high capacity

- Tool free assembly

- Parametric sizing for different product types

### How the Divider System Works

Divider slots are built into each shelf tier. Dividers slide into any slot position, so spacing can be wide, narrow, or mixed. This means one display can hold jewelry one day and pins or magnets the next without redesigning or re-cutting.

### Materials

Best results come from

- 3 mm plywood

- 3 mm MDF

- 1/4 inch acrylic

If using different thickness, adjust slot tolerance or kerf compensation before cutting.

### Assembly

1. Insert shelves into side supports starting from bottom tier

2. Press fit until fully seated

3. Slide dividers into vertical slots

No glue is required, though a small amount can be used for permanent setups.

### Tips

- Cut a small slot test first to confirm fit

- Use light sanding if fit is too tight

- Increase lip height for slippery materials like acrylic

- Use fewer dividers for larger products

### Notes

This design is intended to be reused with different configurations. Instead of making multiple display files for each product type, simply rearrange the dividers and reuse the same structure.

the design needs a support brace at 90 degrees under the shelves for added support for weight. I'm sure there's a way to do it but I'm still new to this
