## Tips

Use the TextScale and TextPosition to edit your text per shape

To achieve the **dual coloured engrave** in the Gingham pattern, they are set to two different fill colours so you can make one a lighter engrave and one darker. There are a few way to achieve this look.

Here's what I do:

1. engrave the lighter colour at a lower power - send only this function to your laser

2. mask my wood _without_ moving it in the laser

3. send the dark engrave and cut functions to my laser as normal

You may want to scale down your design and do some testing if you've never done two different shades of engraves. The settings I use on my 100W C02 laser are speed 600 mm/sec, and 45 power for dark engrave and 17 power for light engrave. **Keep in mind, every single laser is different and you will need to test what works for yours.**
