# Information for new Cuttle Creators

## Quick onboarding checklist for new Creators

Congratulations on joining Cuttle Creators!

### 1\. On your [Account Settings](https://cuttle.xyz/settings) page, make sure your profile settings are to your liking

-   Your **Profile Picture** and **Display Name** will show up on all of your templates. You can change these any time.
-   Your **Username** (e.g. @toby) will appear in the URLs for your profile page and your templates. You can change this later but then any older links to your profile page will not work. So it’s best to pick something you like and don’t change this!

### 2\. Introduce yourself on the Facebook Group (Optional)

We encourage you to introduce yourself in the [Cuttle Facebook Group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/cuttle) so folks can get to know your work. Feel free to post a link to your Cuttle Profile, some sample pictures and use the hashtag `#CuttleCreators`.

### 3\. Join [Cuttle’s affiliate program](https://cuttle.xyz/affiliate) (Optional)

This lets you earn 25% recurring commissions for every new customer that you refer to Cuttle Pro. This is on top of royalties earned for downloads.

-   **Do** share your Cuttle affiliate links (the URLs ending in `?via=YOURCODE`) and associated promo codes in places _outside_ of Cuttle — on your Instagram, YouTube, other Facebook groups where you’re allowed to share links, email newsletter, direct contacts, etc.
-   **Don’t** share these links or promo codes _within_ Cuttle’s platform — Read Me’s or on the official Cuttle Facebook Group or Discord

Tip: You can link to any page on Cuttle (not just the homepage) with your affiliate tag by adding `?via=YOURCODE` to the end of any Cuttle URL.

## How to publish your templates as Pro

When you’re ready to publish a Pro template,

1.  In the project’s **Read Me**, set the **License** to **Pro**. This will gate your project so that only Pro users will be able to download or edit it.

2.  In the **Share** menu, set your project to **Public** or **Unlisted** so people can access it.
    
    We recommend setting the **Share** status to **Public** so that people can find it on your profile page and in the [Cuttle Creators Templates](https://cuttle.xyz/templates/cuttle-creators) section. But you can also use **Unlisted**, for example if you’re sending the template to test users before releasing it more widely.

## Sharing Guidelines

Feel free to share your new template(s) on the [Cuttle Facebook Group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/cuttle).

-   **Tag your post with #CuttleCreators** so that people understand it’s part of the Cuttle Creators program.
-   Limit your #CuttleCreators posts to **once per day**.
-   We recommend including a photo or video with your post so that Facebook shows it to more people.
-   Do not use your Cuttle affiliate link (URLs ending in `?via=…`) in Cuttle’s Facebook Group. These are intended for use external to Cuttle’s platform. You can use Cuttle affiliate links in _other_ Facebook groups where you have permission to post links.

## Analytics

Click the top-right circle > Usage Analytics to see how many people are viewing and downloading your templates.
