xTool: SVGs are not importing at the correct scale / dimensions
xTool Studio will sometimes resize designs smaller if they are bigger than the canvas. This is a big problem for any SVG file where you care about the precise dimensions, like laser cut boxes.
You can ensure xTool does not resize your designs with these instructions.
In xTool Studio, when you import the SVG make sure you choose "Keep size" at this dialog:
This will preserve the actual, true scale of the SVG file. If you instead choose "Scale to fit" then xTool will scale the SVG down to fit on its canvas.
If you don't get this dialog, you might have checked "Don’t show again for 24 hours", or changed your default setting in the past.
In this case, go to Settings in the xTool Studio menu.
In the Editor tab, look for the setting "Imported image too large for the canvas".
Choose "Ask me every time" or "Keep its size" if you always want SVGs to import at their physical scale.
Make sure this is not set to "Auto-scale it", which will resize your SVG smaller if it's too big to fit on the xTool canvas.
